It is with deep regret to inform you that CAL SMACNA’s 54th Annual Convention April 15th -18th at Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point has been cancelled.
The impact of COVID-19 on our state and nation is increasing in severity each day and we are doing our best to help flatten the curve on the spread of the virus. The health and welfare of our members, guests and our communities remains our top priority. As such, CAL SMACNA is following guidance provided to us by the CDC and Governor Newsom and has cancelled the convention in April. Full refunds to convention and golf registrants as well as sponsors are available and will be processed between now and April 15th. (see directions below)
Registration Refund Policy
CAL SMACNA will provide a full refund of all Convention and Golf registration fees Please allow us time to process full refunds. We anticipate all refunds to be issued within 30 days. You do not need to request a refund as they will be issued automatically via your original form of payment.
Sponsorship Refund Policy
CAL SMACNA will provide a full refund of your sponsorship. If you are interested in transferring your Convention or Golf Tournament Sponsorship to the 2021 CAL SMACNA Annual Convention, please reach out to veronika@cal-smacna.org. Otherwise refunds will be issued back to the original form of payment within the next 30 days.
Hotel Reservations
CAL SMACNA will cancel all hotel reservations on your behalf, and you should receive a refund of your deposit within 15 business days. You will be receiving a cancellation notification directly from the Monarch Beach Resort. Please make sure you check your junk/spam for this cancellation confirmation.

I cannot thank our staff, sponsors and vendors enough for the enormous amount of work they put into this CAL SMACNA conference over the last six months. Everything — from the seaside venue, golf, speakers and entertainment — was absolutely top-notch. It breaks our hearts to have to cancel.
We are working hard to move as much of this fantastic content as possible to our 55th Annual Convention in 2021 on April 7th through 10th at the Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA. Mark your calendars now and stay healthy!
